Back when my thyroid was out - I needed to get sleep, in order for everything to begin working again. It’s just like when I suffered with anorexia, and my psychologist told me to not even bother coming to see her, if I was eating under 1,000 calories a day - for the message wouldn’t be received by my brain.
I needed sleep, in order for the rest of the treatment to work.
I wasn’t sleeping at the time.
